MITICA DiecastThe Riva Junior, introduced in 1966 as the successor to the Florida, was conceived by Carlo Riva as a compact entry into the brand’s world of refined Italian boating. Measuring around 5. 7–6. 25 meters, it offered greater manoeuvrability while retaining the signature elegance and craftsmanship of larger icons like the Aquarama. Powered by a V8 engine—ranging from the Riva Crusader to Chris-Craft variants delivering roughly 180–220 hp—it achieved impressive speeds of up to 75–80 km/h, making it equally suited for relaxed cruising and waterskiing. Its varnished mahogany deck, chrome detailing, and distinctive white or sea-green hull embodied timeless Mediterranean style. Produced between 1966 and 1972 with just over 600 units built, the Junior became a symbol of accessible luxury, even attracting notable owners such as Brigitte Bardot. Today, it remains a highly sought-after collector’s piece and a true icon of Italian nautical design.
